About Dr. Marcus
Dr. Marcus is a Palos Verdes native and a board certified head and neck surgeon who specializes in facial
plastic surgery. He graduated from Berkeley with Honors and attended medical school at the USC Keck
School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed a five-year residency at the University of Michigan,
where he specialized in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. At Michigan, he spent five years training
under one of world’s most renowned facial plastic surgeons, Dr. Shan Baker. Subsequently, he completed
one of the busiest and most diverse Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowships in the nation.
He received an award for passing his facial plastic surgery boards in the 99th percentile and won the
American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery’s prestigious John Orlando Roe Award for
his groundbreaking research. Dr. Marcus has also been honored as a proctor for the annual American
Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Examination; this examination is taken by all physicians
striving to become board certified facial plastic surgeons. Dr. Marcus feels that treating the complete patient
is the most important aspect of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and he is an active member of the
Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His consultations address all patient concerns and
different aspects of one’s health, not just the surgical options or procedural treatments. Dr. Marcus feels that

and 1-2 additional years of dedicated facial plastic surgery training. Therefore, a facial plastic surgeon has the
minimum of 6 years of dedicated and focused training. This highly specialized surgical training is what makes
